Hall hire policy — terms & conditions
Jame'ah Masjid-e-Noor · 115–117 Stamford Street, Manchester M16 9LT · Date for renewal: 18 June 2027
By hiring or using the hall facilities at the above address, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. These rules apply to all users, regardless of whether the hire is paid or provided free of charge, and apply to bookings for funeral purposes.
1. Dry Hire Basis
The hall is provided on a strictly dry hire basis. Nothing is supplied as part of the hire, including (but not limited to) furniture, equipment, kitchen access, utensils, or cleaning materials. Hirers must make their own arrangements for anything required.
2. Responsibility for Damages
The person making the booking is deemed the responsible hirer and accepts full liability for the premises during the hire period. This responsibility applies collectively to all attendees, regardless of who caused any damage.
The hirer is fully responsible for any damage caused to the premises, fixtures, fittings, or equipment during the period of use. All damages must be reported immediately and will be charged to the hirer.
3. Cleaning Requirements
The hall must be left in a clean and tidy condition:
- All floors must be hoovered
- All surfaces must be wiped down
- Any mess created must be fully cleared
Failure to meet cleaning standards may result in additional charges.
4. Restricted Areas
All classrooms within the building are strictly out of bounds and must not be used under any circumstances.
5. Waste Disposal
All rubbish must be securely bagged and placed in the black bins provided. These must then be disposed of in the large bin located in the masjid car park (87 Stamford Street, Manchester, M16 9JE).
6. No Kitchen Facilities
There are no kitchen or food warming facilities available on-site.
7. Prohibited Items
The use of gas tanks, gas burners, or any similar equipment for heating or preparing food inside the building is strictly prohibited.
8. Footwear Policy
No shoes are allowed inside the building at any time. Where shoes/slippers are required, there will be a notice.
9. Madrasah Hours
The hall and wider premises are not available during madrasah operating hours. No bookings or use of the facility will be permitted while madrasah is in session.
10. Funeral Priority & Cancellations
We reserve the right to cancel any booking if the premises are required for a funeral on the same day. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.
While we aim to accommodate funeral-related use of the hall, this will not be available during madrasah operating hours if madrasah is in session.
11. Applicability of Rules
These rules apply to all users without exception, including but not limited to:
- Private events
- Community gatherings
- Funeral-related use
12. Agreement to Terms
Any use of the hall — whether paid or unpaid — constitutes full acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Failure to comply with any of the above may result in immediate termination of the hire agreement and/or additional charges.
Management reserves the right to enforce these rules at all times.
